1.5-2 Year Olds Classroom (18-35 months) Daily Schedule PDF Toddlers are primarily concerned with developing an understanding of who they are. Beginning at around 18 months, identity becomes the dominant theme for them. Developing this sense of self has a lot to do with their desire and independence and control. Whether toddlers are still teetering with a wide-based gait, confidently getting around on two legs, or with assistance, they are busy "standing up for themselves." They use rapidly developing communication skills to indicate their desires and refuse what they do not want at the moment. As their social awareness, they pick up cultural who they are and how they should be. Their most frequent statements are likely to include "No," "Mine," "Why," and "Me do it." Guided by Developmentally Appropreate Practice (DAP by NAEYC), the toddle care teacher at 4C Christian Academy helps toddlers find appropriate ways to assert themselves by supporting their individuality, giving them choices whenever possible, and introducing social guidelines. Toddlers work very hard to understand social rules and get things right. The toddle care teacher fosters cooperation and facilitates the toddler's development of a strong sense of self. We believe that a well designed environment offers toddlers many chances to be in control as they participate in group play, fantasy play, and independent activities. The goals and objectives include: Study God’s love and His salvation plan. See God in His holiness and majesty, which will affect how they live. Memorize Scripture so that they can learn to use the Word of God in their daily lives. Understand simple Bible doctrines, laying the foundation for future learning. Learn about prayer and its importance. Develop a confidence in God so that they can rest in His care and provision. Trust in the promises of God in His Word. As the supplement material to curriculum Exploring God’s Love, Positive Action Bible Curriculum provide God's Love: A Bible Storybook in both English and Chinese to guide educators to teach bible stories to children in more detailed ways. General Information Hours of Operation 4C Christian Academy is open weekdays (Monday-Friday) 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. There is only a full-time enrollment option available at this point. Holidays and Other Closing Days 4C Christian Academy is closed on the following public Holidays each year: New Year’s Day Good Friday Easter Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day The 4C Christian Academy is also closed on: Thanksgiving week (Mon-Fri) December 24 through January 1 (In the event December 23 lands on a Monday, the 4C Christian Academy will also be closed on December 23) One week in July for the teacher's professional development Two days for parent-teacher conferences, normally one day in October and one day in April Note: Please refer to the school calendar for more details. Ratio To maximize the care and educational quality, the 4C Christian Academy goes beyond the state standard and follows the desired maximum group size for classrooms as stated below. Except during daily nap time, the center's opening and closing period (the 45 minutes after opening and 45 minutes before closing), and in extreme situations such as staff emergencies, 4C Christian Academy follows the desired maximum group size as follow: 2 years old classroom: 1-2 teachers: 10 students 3 years old classroom: 1-2 teachers: 12 students 4 years old/Pre K classroom: 1-2 teachers: 14 students Note: Please refer to the parent handbook for more details.

3 Year Olds Classroom (36-47 months) Daily Schedule PDF The preschool years before kindergarten are recognized as a vitally important period of learning and development in their own right, not merely as a time for growth in anticipation of the "real learning" that will begin in school. It is well established that important development and learning occur during these early years in all areas of human functioning-physical, social qnd emotional, cognitive (including perception, reasoning, memory, and other aspects of academic and intellectual development), and language. It is also well established that optimal development and learning during these years is most likely to occur when children establish positive and caring relationships with adults and other children; receive carefully planned, intentional adult guidance and assistance; and explore interesting environments with many things to do and learn. Guided by Developmentally Appropreate Practice (DAP by NAEYC), preschool teachers at 4C Christian Academy, in collaboration with families, are responsible for ensuring that the program promotes the development and enhances the learning of each individual child served. To ensure this, 4C Christian Academy requires that teachers have a great deal of knowledge, skill, and training.
